Which cookies and similar technologies this site uses, what they do and how to refuse them. Framework: Regulation 5 of S.I. 336/2011 and the Data Protection Commission’s cookie guidance.

A cookie is a small file saved on your device when you visit a website. We also say “similar technologies” for equivalent tools (for example your browser’s local storage).
The first time you visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject all or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting. If you make no choice, nothing that needs consent is stored.
Your choice is kept for 6 months, then we ask again. You can change or withdraw it at any time with “Manage cookies” at the bottom of every page.
These are needed to run the site or a service you asked for, so they do not need your consent.

These are only stored after you agree, and only if they are switched on for the site. Where it says “not active”, nothing of this kind is stored on this site today.

Before you agree we send no data to Google or Meta. Google Consent Mode is set to “denied” by default, then updated to match your choice.
